Volunteer

The best part of the Melbourne Stencil Festival is being involved with the process of making it happen. A group of like minded people come together, to think, plan, and create an event that showcases the best of Melbourne’s stencil and street art. During that time over 5,000 people will visit the event.

People get involved in all aspects of the event: the organization of the stencil festival itself, artist liaison, and marketing/PR. The specific volunteers we need are:

  • “On the night”: across the time that the festival is running.

  • RSA registered people to help in the sale of alcohol

  • Stencil art literate/informed people to educate the community on stencil art and to assist with the sale of art works

  • Artistically inclined people to hosting local and international artists, help with live spraying activities, to encourage artistic collaboration

  • VIP host to help with sponsors and media

Getting the festival organized
We access to the Yarra Sculpture Gallery four days before opening night. We need a team to: organize the event space, hang art, catalogue art, set up the bar, liaise with local and international artists.
